HAVFR 2022 Go-Kart at Hickory Falls

1/19/22

Hanover Area Volunteer Fire & Rescue is proud to announce that the volunteers have placed into service a 2022 Go-Kart, which will be designated as "Kart 79." Kart 79 will be stationed at Hickory Falls Family Entertainment Center, and will be available for operation by future firefighters of all ages!

Today, Kart 79 was taken on its inaugural lap around the Go-Kart track by Assistant Chief Andrew Crouse. We have been exploring a marketing opportunity in Hanover for recruitment, solicitation support and community visibility. Hickory Falls Family Entertainment Center provided HAVFR with an opportunity for us to sponsor Kart 79. We are so appreciative for this partnership! Come out to Hickory Falls FEC and give it a spin for yourself!

Hanover Area Fire & Rescue Commission Receives Check From Volunteers

1/27/22

Hanover Area Volunteer Fire & Rescue Commission Representatives Maynard Becker, left, and Jeffrey Spielman, center, present a check for $75,712 dollars from the volunteer division to Hanover Area Fire & Rescue Commission Vice Chairman William Reichart, right, during the Hanover Area Fire & Rescue Commission meeting, Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, at the Penn Township Municipal Building.

The funds, which fulfill the volunteer division's financial obligations to the commission, were derived from the sale of retired emergency vehicles, surplus EMS supplies, and the 2021 annual interest from public safety trust funds.
